Poles Lane Shoot

We went to Poles Lane to do our filming of Poppy walking down the street, first dressed as a prostitute and then as a normal person. We had originally done this on the Wednesday two weeks before however we didn't have the storyboard and made some mistakes.
So on Wednesday 14th we took a minibus up to Poles Lane and started shooting, it only took 20 minutes to film. Overall we were happy with the Poles Lane shoot because it went well and was surprisingly quick.

Shaunagh's and Nicola's House

We had to reshoot our shots and Nicky's and Shaunagh's house because of the bad lighting. We first went to Shaunagh's house because we needed more light for the shots with Shaunagh and Harry. Everything went well at Shauagh's; the lighting, the makeup and the actual filming.

Nicky's house was a bit harder, but not that much harder. Every shot we did went well of the inside however when we went outside for the memorial some problems arose. Everytime we went to light the candles they kept getting blown out by the wind. So we have decided to add in some fake flames when we were doing our editing. Except for the small problems with the memorial candles everything was good and efficient.

Job Role: Cameraman

My job was the cameraman, I had to be responsible for all the camera equipment. I had to help Nicola (director) choose the shots in the scene, depending on whether it will be a high angle or a low angle. In addition to that I had to help Daisy position the microphone so it wasn't in the shot.
I took my ideas from films such London to Brighton, the scenes with Kelly as a lower class prostitute. I also took ideas from the opening of Morvern Callar, where there is a dead body lying on the floor. The darkness in these films helps us with the death of Polly in Honey Bear.
